Houdini and Cali in the side yard looking for moles, mice, birds, these two are rough on the local wildlife (EXCEPT WHATEVER LOCAL WILDLIFE GOT MOST OF HOUDINI’S EAR)
1:05 PM
Houdini my wayward cat. I have had three male cats in a row. The first two disappeared (Buster and Pepper), we are right next to the largest winter military base in the world and that means wild animals everywhere and thousands of acres of woods and land that also backs up to the forever wild lands of New York state that cut through the entire state comprising millions of acres, so it is not unusual to look out the window and see just about anything; deer, turkeys, etc, and hear wild dogs, coyotes of wolves? Something like that, and of course big cats are also around. So life is rough on house cats.
Houdini got into a fight with something a few weeks back and lost most of an ear. You would think that would convince him to become a house cat like his sister Cali, but no… He throws fits if we try to keep him in. I mean 4:00 AM howling, meowing, in Mom’s case he jumps right up on her chest and complains until she gets up and lets him out. In my case he comes to my bedroom door and meows non-stop until I get up and let him out… A stubborn cat but we love him and I hope he decides to stop fighting everything that comes along…

Cali, on the other hand, has managed to survive three male cats. Does this prove females are smarter?
